Nekisha Adekoya

Nekisha Adekoya is the Chief Operating Officer of Strong Disability Advocates, LLC, bringing more than 30 years of experience and a deep passion for serving vulnerable populations. With a strong foundation in psychology and organizational leadership, she combines compassion with strategic expertise to drive meaningful impact across programs and services.

Nekisha holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She has also completed specialized coursework in Public Administration, Professional Ethics, and Nonprofit Organizational Systems.

Throughout her career, Nekisha has held positions at every level within the mental health and intellectual disabilities field — from direct support professional to lead specialist, coordinator, case manager (now known as support coordinator), manager, and director. Nekisha is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. In August 2024, she earned the distinguished honor of becoming a Silver Star, recognizing 25 years of dedicated membership and service. Throughout her tenure, she has worked alongside her sorority sisters to uplift and serve communities in a variety of ways, continuing her lifelong commitment to service and the betterment of others

Nekisha is also commissioned as a Notary Public for the Commonwealth at Large in Petersburg, Virginia.
